Vacancy Notice: Accountant – Harare
A vibrant Microfinance is looking for a results-driven Accountant.
DUTIES
The incumbent will be responsible for;
• Following up clients in arrears and updating relevant credit files and records
• Evaluating and monitoring financial business performance
• Preparing the annual financial statements in compliance with accounting policies, international
accounting standards and legislation
• Preparing statutory returns
• Preparing budgets of the institution relating to income and expenditure, assets and liabilities and
capital expenditure and monitor performance against plan
• Receiving and processing payments for all clients
• Balancing Cash Teller account, and updating bank balance tracker for cash received and paid out
• Reconciliations
• Submission of regulatory returns to RBZ, ZIMRA and NSSA
Qualifications
• Bachelor’s Degree or Diploma in Accounting, or other relevant qualification. Master’s degree is
an added advantage.
• Previous working experience as an Accounting Officer.
• Knowledge and competency in accounting principles.
• Proficiency in management systems.
• Administration skills.
• Sound interpersonal skills.
• Proficiency in MS Excel and other accounting software.
