Position: Accountant Head Office
Reports to: Finance Manager
To carry out the general financial and administrative tasks as assigned.
Maintaining
and updating Financial Statements in Pastel, including production and maintenance
of financial reports.
Develop or assists with the development and implementation of
policies and procedures consistent with those of the organization to ensure efficient
operations and sound financial management.

Responsibilities
● Cashbook management. Scrutinize all banking transactions and sign off monthly
bank reconciliations by the 10th of the following month.
● Preparation and timely submission of Statutory returns and follow up to ensure
payments are made (VAT, QPD and PAYE) Liaise with Zimra officials for any
Zimra queries as/when required.
● Maintain Asset Registers
● Management of Debtors and Creditors.
● Proper recording of stock and ensuring that stock procedures are in place and
being adhered to
● Prepare monthly management reports.
● Reconciliation of all balance sheet accounts. Ensuring intercompany accounts
are balanced signed off monthly.
● Validate all invoices for payment before final authorisation.
● Assist in production of annual financial statements.
● Supervise accounts team and ensure all monthly financial processing is done
within reporting guidelines.
Person Specifications
Ideal person must possess the following:
1. A degree in Accounting and/or other commercial qualification ACCA or CIS.
2. Knowledge of Sage Evolution and able to use Manufacturing module
3. At least two years’ experience in a Finance position in construction or
manufacturing environment.
4. Ability to work with minimum supervision
5. Have a strength in financial reporting and preparation of financial information
in accordance with IFRS.
